WASHINGTON D.C. -- A survivor of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida threw up on stage during Saturday's "March For Our Lives" rally in Washington D.C. --but it didn't stop her from delivering her message.

Sam Fuentes, 18, was in the middle of a spoken word poem on gun reform when she stopped to puke.

She immediately picked up where she left off as the crowd continued to cheer her on.

“I just threw up on international television and it feels great!” Fuentes said. “We're not asking for a ban, we're asking for compromise forget your ban, forget your colors. Let's save one another."

Fuentes was a senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school where 17 people died in a mass shooting in February.

Fuentes was shot in both legs but was able to walk on stage without any help.
