WEST ALLIS -- A 24-year-old man has been charged for sexually assaulting female shoppers at a number of southeast Wisconsin stores in June.

Juwan Aaron Noble appeared in court for the first time Monday, pleading not guilty to the four counts of fourth-degree sexual assault.

According to West Allis Police, several area police departments recently investigated numerous reports of Noble having inappropriate contact with women. Police know of at least four victims, but believe there could be many others.

"The individual would come up from behind them, the best way to describe it, he would then thrust his pelvic region into the buttocks of the female," said West Allis Police Deputy Chief Bob Fletcher. "It's certainly not something we see very often."

Many of the incidents are caught on surveillance video, according to a criminal complaint.

According to a search warrant, Greendale Police interviewed Noble, and he denied the accounts. Noble told police he "may have bumped into a few people, but not with his genitals."

Police have identified victims in the following incidents:

  • Greendale: Two incidents reported at Kohl’s in Southridge Mall.
  • West Allis: One incident reported at the Dollar Tree near 108th & Oklahoma.
  • West Milwaukee: One incident reported at the Target on Miller Park Way.

After reviewing surveillance video at the three stores, police are aware of eight additional incidents, but the victim's identities are unknown.

"While it might be difficult or you might just kind of shrug it off as it being odd behavior, it is behavior that is criminal," said Fletcher. "And people need to contact us."

West Allis Police say Noble is known to wear similar clothes during the incidents and the clothes he wore were odd for the weather (long sleeves and pants during hot weather).

Police ask anyone who was a victim of inappropriate contact to call Detective Christina Porter of the West Allis Police Department at (414) 302-8090.
