Dwayne Chaney was found guilty of a 2015 murder Friday afternoon, despite not being present in the courtroom

Chaney, 25, reportedly did show up to two days of his trial, but then removed his GPS monitoring device and hasn’t been seen since.

Court records show Chaney was in hiding for two years before his arrest in May.

Chaney is guilty of shooting and killing Michael Prescott. Prescott's mother, Rosslind Prescott-McClinton, was vocally upset about Chaney's disappearance.

“You’ve got a murderer running around the city or he’s probably out of the state again by now,” Prescott-McClinton said.

A Milwaukee County judge told TODAY’S TMJ4 Chaney requested a speedy trial, and was released on a signature bond in September when the state didn’t schedule the trial date within 90 days of his request.

“He’s making a mockery of our system,” Prescott McClinton said.

Milwaukee police, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department and U.S. Marshalls are looking for Chaney.

The judge also said the trial could continue without Chaney present, but a warrant has been issued so any law enforcement has the authority to bring him in.

Milwaukee police said he was seen on video getting into a 2012 white Toyota Scion xB with Wisconsin plates 970-YZT and VIN # JTLZE4FE7CJ009509.
