MILWAUKEE -- Police say a 19-year-old woman was seriously injured in a shooting Saturday evening near the Mitchell Park Domes.
Police say the victim was part of a group that was involved in an ongoing dispute with a different group of individuals.
At about 5:25 p.m., the conflict between the two groups escalated into gunfire. A suspect fired multiple rounds and struck the 19-year-old woman.
The Milwaukee Fire Department found the woman in the Mitchell Park Domes' parking lot and treated her for a serious gunshot wound. She was then transported her to a nearby hospital.
Police say her injuries are serious but is expected to survive the injury.
Police say their investigation is ongoing and are still looking for the suspect or suspects involved.
