Hopeful reports came for the Green Bay Packers Sunday morning.

ESPN's Adam Schefter said that quarterback Aaron Rodgers could start throwing footballs by the point he could return to practice from injured reserve - in six weeks.

That would put his timeline for return to Packers practice in early December.

Rodgers was placed on injured reserve Friday, according to the team.

Rodgers had surgery on his broken collarbone Thursday, which he broke in Sunday’s game against the Vikings.

Rodgers posted on social media Friday thanking the fans for support through his surgery.

He could come back to game action, based on the NFL's injured reserve policy, at the Packers-Carolina Panthers game on December 17.
