One of the men convicted for his role in the Laylah Petersen murder will spend five months behind bars.

Paul Farr was sentenced Friday by a Milwaukee County Judge.

Five-year-old Laylah was shot and killed while she was sitting on her grandfather's lap in 2014.The little girl was inside a home near 58th Street and Fairmont Avenue watching TV when a car drove by firing numerous shots. Police say the shooters targeted the wrong house.

"I want to say, I'm sorry to everyone involved, everyone hurting," said Paul Farr.
He was the driver of the car that night. Prosecutors say he wasn't the shooter but helped the two gunmen get away.Farr struck a plea deal and testified against one of the shooters. He was convicted of one count of aiding a felon.

"For this particular defendant, I believe this was the right resolution and that's why I asked for it,"  said prosecutor Sara Hill. "His testimony was truthful and compelling. I think he faced a great deal of fear, pressure possible intimidation."

Farr was also sentenced to five years probation.
