MILWAUKEE -- A billboard spotted in Milwaukee Monday night pays tribute to actor Gene Wilder, who died Sunday at the age of 83.

The digital billboard from Lamar Advertising shows Wilder as the iconic Willy Wonka, with a now-famous line from the movie displayed by his side: "A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men."

TODAY'S TMJ4 first spotted the billboard in the area of I-43 northbound and W. Walnut St. Monday evening, and Photojournalist Eric Steffens captured the image you see above.

Wilder's nephew said Monday that the actor and writer died Sunday at his home in Connecticut from complications from Alzheimer's disease, according to the Associated Press.

The Milwaukee native attended Washington High School.
